It snowed for most of the night and all day today at Lake Louise, which meant that the Ski Patrollers spent the day placing explosive charges to control the avalanche risk.
They leave you in no doubt about the dangers of straying 'off piste'...
Many runs have been reclassified, with greens and blues becoming 'black diamonds' due to the thick powder & moguls. Others are currently closed completely.
Having said all of that, there is no shortage of fabulous skiing available. We spent the morning skiing on lovely groomed pistes, with a 6 inch layer of powder. We were the first to ski many of these :-)
Look, no tracks!
It's just so busy here!
